Memory Lane: Bo Jackson & Nike Baseball 1994 bY @Eastybay

With the 2013 MLB Playoffs now in full swing, today’s Eastbay Memory Lane takes us back to 1994, when the season was prematurely shortened due to the infamous players strike. That didn’t stop Nike, who linked up with us for a special all-baseball edition of the catalog.

Gracing this page is the Nike Air 24 Diamond, a lightweight cleat worn by two-sport athlete and then Atlanta Braves outfielder Deion Sanders. The Air 24 Diamond, which shared cues with Prime Time’s classic Air Diamond Turf trainer, was highlighted by its layered full-grain leather upper, cross-strap for support and neoprene inner bootie.
