Converse Inc. announces the launch of its first-ever Mexico City Converse Rubber Tracks pop-up studio where local musicians will have the opportunity to record for free from November 10 through December 1. As of today, Mexico-based applicants are able to register online for a chance at one of the 20 free spots to record original music under the guidance of expert technicians. During the month of December, Converse will also present Converse Rubber Tracks Live in Mexico City, a free concert series that features a curated lineup of emerging opener bands with established headlining artists.

The Converse Rubber Tracks program was born out of the brand’s desire to give back to the music community and provide a platform for emerging artists to express their creativity. Since the studio opened in Brooklyn in July 2011, Converse Rubber Tracks has provided over 500 emerging artists the opportunity to record in a state-of-the art studio at no cost. Over the past two years, Converse has brought the Converse Rubber Tracks experience to great music cities such as Toronto, Austin, Montreal, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Amsterdam and Hamburg, now hitting Mexico City for the first time.
