Stan Smith was the leading figure in 1970s tennis winning Grand Slams in both singles and doubles tours. Smith played so hard and burned up so many courts we decided to name a pair of trainers after him.
The shoe was relaunched in 2013 and continues to be one of our most popular styles to date—proving hard work and great design never go out of style. Stan continues to be named among the greatest tennis players of all time and is co-owner of the Smith Stearns Tennis Academy in South Carolina.
He talks about the history of the shoe in a series of interviews also featuring Will Arnett, Max Greenfield, Momo Wu, Andy Murray, Sky Ferreira, Lucio Castro, Fetisch, Xander Gaines, Louis-Marie Castelbajac, Hisham Akira Bharoocha, Ana Girardot and Kim Ann Foxmann.
